March 1, 2022 Mikaela Shiffrin is undisputedly one of the world’s best skiers, having won 73 World Cup skiing races and two Olympic gold medals. Mikaela was expected to bring home at least a couple of Olympic skiing medals in the 2022 Winter Olympics that just finished ten days ago. But sadly, Mikaela Shiffrin was the most disappointing American athlete in the 2022 Winter Olympics. She not only did not win any medals, she was not able to ski well enough to even finish three of the events. She “crashed out” of two slalom events and “skied out” of the combined. This was the worst skiing performance by a skiing superstar in decades. How could this happen?
